It’s been a busy week in Washington, DC. Over 80 AWPA Members joined 500 participants in NAM’s Manufacturing Summit in promoting the manufacturing industry on Capitol Hill. Monday began with committee meetings and ended with a rooftop reception overlooking the Washington Monument. Tuesday’s advocacy began with a Wire & Wire Products Caucus Briefing, and then many AWPA attendees joined the NAM Summit for a luncheon briefing. Tuesday afternoon’s advocacy focused on Global Steel Overcapacity and China’s Non-market Economy Status, Regulatory Reform, and promoting the Wire & Wire Products Caucus. The conference ended Wednesday morning with the Congressional Visits Debriefing Breakfast, where members shared the results of their visits. Materials from the meeting, including Kevin Dempsey’s presentation on Global Steel Oversupply, are available on the Past Events page here.
