At the request of Nucor, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has extended the date for its preliminary determinations in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Italy and Turkey.

The new date for the DOC’s preliminary determinations is August 25, 2017.

We expect that the DOC will publish this decision next week in the Federal Register.

The DOC’s preliminary determinations in the antidumping (AD) investigations of wire rod are currently due by September 5, 2017.  Neither Nucor nor any of the other Petitioners has yet made an extension request in those investigations.
