On June 3, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made an affirmative determination in the sunset review of the antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on carbon and certain alloy wire rod from China.
The ITC unanimously determined that revocation of these orders would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic industry.
Accordingly, because the US Department of Commerce had previously made an affirmative determination in its sunset review of these orders, the AD and CVD orders on wire rod from China will remain in force for a further period of five years.
