Hill Visits are back at the Government Affairs Conference this year. As Congress slowly returns to in-person constituent meetings, it’s time to build, or rebuild, relationships. We are having a briefing in advance of the conference for everyone participating in Congressional Visits. If it’s your first time going on Hill Visits, or even if you’re an old hand but feel a little rusty, you’ll want to put it on your calendar. We’ll meet virtually at 3:30 pm ET on September 14th. Amy DeArmond and Janet Kopenhaver will be providing information on what to expect on these visits, procedures for entering the buildings, what to discuss, and how best to communicate your company’s needs to your Representatives, Senators, and their staffers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, and feel confident you have all the information you need for your visits. Everyone who registers to participate in Congressional Visits will get an email with meeting information and a join link the week before.
Building relationships on Capitol Hill does take work, but AWPA will make it as painless as possible. Register for the Government Affairs Conference, and be sure to sign up for congressional visits when you register.
