The Canadian Government is retaliating against the Trump tariff on Canadian products.
Effective immediately, Canada is imposing a 25% tariff on imports from the United States worth approximately $30 billion.
The list of affected imports is heavily weighted toward agricultural products, but it also includes beer, wine, spirits, appliances motorcycles, apparel, cosmetics, and pulp and paper. The list can be found here.
In addition, the Canadian Government will consider retaliatory tariffs on a further $125 billion of imports from the United States, including passenger vehicles and trucks (including electric vehicles), trucks and buses, recreational vehicles and boats, aerospace products, steel, aluminum, and additional agricultural products. That list of products will be determined after a 21 day comment period. The potential list for comment may be found here, at the bottom of the page.
We will continue to follow the retaliatory actions of the Canadian and other governments.
