AWPA Executive Director Kimberly Korbel spoke at the Council of Manufacturing Associations’ 2016 Summer Leadership Conference on August 11. As part of a panel titled “Leading on Your Issues: Best Practices in Issue Advocacy Campaigns,” she discussed how the AWPA membership advocated for the ENFORCE Act, and collaborated with other organizations to successfully push the legislation through Congress as part of the recent Customs Reauthorization bill. Also on the panel were Deidre McGinsley-Geiser, Senior Vice President for Programs at the American Institute for Cancer Research, and Jim McGreevy, President and CEO of the Beer Institute.
The AWPA is a member of the Council of Manufacturing Associations, and Kimberly Korbel serves on the Board of Directors. The CMA is made up of nearly 260 manufacturing trade associations that work together on behalf of manufacturing in the United States.
