August 14: Canada considers Safeguard measures (tariffs) on Steel plate, Hot-rolled sheet, Pre-painted steel, Energy tubular products, Wire rod, Concrete reinforcing bar and Stainless steel wire. The Canadian Department of Finance is accepting comments through August 29th.
August 13: The US raised the tariff on imports of Turkish Steel to 50%, related to the house arrest of American Pastor Andres Brunson. Turkey announced a retaliatory tariffs on US goods, including increasing tariffs by 120% on autos, 140% on alcohol and 50% on rice among others.
